A suspicious package left on the windowsill of a Co Cork bank has been declared a "very elaborate hoax".
The main street of Ballincollig has been reopened by gardaí, who said the incident is being investigated.
The Army's Explosives Ordinance Division was called to deal with the device after it was found this morning. It is belived to have had wires protruding from it.
According to reports, staff at the Bank of Ireland branch also received threatening phone calls and letters demanding money.
