Hockey: Ireland men's coach Dave Passmore has named his 18-man squad for the EuroHockey Championships in Manchester this month, keeping faith with 15 players who featured at last year's World Cup qualifiers.

Paddy Brown, Mark Irwin, Stephen Butler and Graham Shaw all have more than 100 caps apiece while Eugene Magee (Banbridge) and Tim Lewis (Pembroke Wanderers) are selected for their first major competitions.

Pembroke Wanderers goalkeeper David Harte has been selected after winning just eight caps.

"David has demonstrated his ability in the latter stages of the programme and has a mature head," said Passmore.
