Claudia Schiffer says paparazzi are becoming more aggressive, to the point of brutality. She made the remarks in an interview published in the German publication Stern yesterday, describing how she was pursued by them in Majorca, where she has a house. Some went so far as to sabotage her car to prevent her driving off.

Thirty-five years after his father, Kirk, left his hand and foot prints at the entrance to the Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, Michael Douglas has done the same. It's the first time a father-and-son team has been immortalised in Hollywood cement.

Bass player Noel Redding, who played in the Jimi Hendrix Experience; Peter Townshend and his Who colleague, Roger Daltrey; Pink Floyd's Dave Gilmore; and the Kinks' Ray Davies are to attend the unveiling of an English Heritage blue plaque in memory of Jimi Hendrix on Sunday. The ceremony will take place at 23 Brook Street, off Oxford Street in London, where he lived in the 1960s.
