WARRING parents Bob Geldof and Paula Yates were in the High Court in London yesterday for the start of their custody battle over their three children. Ms Yates, clearly nervous, received a hug and kiss from her companion, journalist Josephine Fairley, as the case was called. The judge ordered that there be no reporting of the actual proceedings, which are continuing.
Oasis will not split up, according to the brother of Liam and Noel Gallagher.
Paul Gallagher (30) said:
"They've signed a six album deal and Noel is a very wise guy. I don't think he will be able to live with himself if he calls it a day.
"The amount of money he could make would set him up for life. He'd never have to work again. They will do the six albums and fulfil their contract."
Actress Faye Dunaway (54) has become the 2,074th personality to be honoured with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. The Room, the latest film involving the star of Bonnie and Clyde and Chinatown, will open later this month.
Sir John Mills (88) attended the Pyramids Centre, in Portsmouth, to watch his grandson's band Kula Shaker.
Crispian Mills, whose mother Hayley is Sir John's daughter, is lead singer and guitarist with the band. Sir John said he "thoroughly enjoyed" the show.
Uri Geller says he worked for the CIA during the Cold War, and claims that many "psychonormals" like him were used by the world's security forces.
"Once I was sat next to two KGB agents on a flight from Mexico to Paris," he explained. "They were holding briefcases and I was told to try to gather information from floppy disks and then erase them. The Americans always came back for more, so they must have been happy with what I gave them.
