Petrol bombs were thrown at two houses in Castlewellan, Co Down, this morning.
The devices, one of which failed to ignite, were hurled at the houses in New Meadow Road shortly before 1.30 a.m.
One caused scorch damage to the outside of a house where a woman and a teenager were in their beds. The second was thrown at the home housing a baby, three teenagers, a woman and her partner. It failed to ignite.
Police are investigating the incident and have ruled out a sectarian motive.
