Philippines rose to 22 today as the storm moved to the South China Sea.
Landslides triggered by torrential rain killed eight members of two families on the central island of Negros on Monday.
A family of four and an unrelated woman perished in another landslide on Tinambac town in the Bicol region southeast of Manila.

Seven people were meanwhile electrocuted by fallen power lines as they fled their flooded homes in Binangonan and Cardona towns east of Manila yesterday.
Two men also drowned in two Manila suburbs.
The weather office said the storm had packed winds of 34 miles an hour. It swept out into the sea at dawn and was moving west at almost 10 miles an hour.
