Ostend - The Jordanian pilot of a light aircraft that crashed at an airshow here on Saturday, killing nine people, did not observe his agreed flight path, the Belgian Interior Minister, Mr Johan Vande Lanotte, said yesterday.

Mr Vande Lanotte said the pilot, Capt Omar Hani Bilal, had breached security regulations in flying above spectators during his low-level routine, strengthening the thesis that pilot error was responsible for the fatal accident. The minister said, however, that this has still not been confirmed. - (AFP)
