An inquest into the death of three pilots who were killed after their helicopter crashed on a mountain-side in Co Louth last December, heard they died from multiple injuries and were identified by their dental records.

Equipment on board the helicopter carrying Mr Kevin Mulhern (44), Rivendell, Steventon, Oxfordshire, Mr, Jeremy Wright (45), Newfield Road, Lymm, Cheshire, and Mr John Smith, Wyncomman Road, Denver, Downham Market, Norfolk, indicated it" crashed in the Cooley mountains on December 12th last.

The wreckage and bodies were not found until the following afternoon. At the time it was reported that the men were flying from Aldergrove Airport to meet Senator Edward Haughey, who attended yesterday's inquest in Dundalk Coroner's Court.
