Police in Belfast have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in the Ballyclare area last night.

Police in Belfast have appealed for witnesses to a shooting in the Ballyclare area last night.

A PSNI spokesman said a man (20) was confronted by three masked men as he walked along the Doagh Road at around 12.10 a.m.

The victim was dragged into a laneway and shot once in the upper thigh.

He is now recovering in hospital. There were no arrests.
