Several fire brigade units were called to the Powerscourt estate in Enniskerry, Co Wicklow, to deal with a fire in a hay barn.
Three units from the Bray and Greystones fire stations were sent to the scene after the alarm was raised at about 9.30pm on Sunday night.
The units remained at the estate until shortly after 4am yesterday morning when the scene was made safe.
A number of machines were inside the barn at the time, no major damage was done to them. However, a large quantity of stored hay was destroyed. There were no injuries reported.
