Vive la France! France may be in President George Bush's bad books and French fries off the menu in the United States, but the US president tucked in to Filet Cordon Bleu when he sat down to dinner in the Azores after his emergency summit with Mr Tony Blair and Mr José Maria Aznar.

Mr Bush and the others were due to be served vegetable soup, then the filet and then either creme caramel or fruit salad.

To drink, the four leaders were offered Quinta do Carmo, Reserva 2000, a good red wine from southern Portugal. Mr Bush, however, does not drink alcohol. - (Reuters)
