President Mary McAleese is continuing with her week-long trip to the west coast of the United States with a visit to Arizona and Los Angeles today.
The President arrived in the US late on Tuesday for a trip which is intended to strengthen trade, business and cultural links.
Following a visit to San Francisco and Oregon, Ms McAleese is to address a business breakfast at the Arizona State University in Phoenix.
The President will later meet Janet Napolitano, Governor of Arizona and Secretary of State Designate for Homeland Security.
Following this, Ms McAleese will travel to Los Angeles where she will speak at a lunch held by Tourism Ireland and attend a reception hosted by Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Film Board at the Warner Brothers' Lot in Hollywood.
Tomorrow, the President will meet with the
Los Angeles Timeseditorial board before returning back to Ireland on Wednesday.
