A man recently extradited from Amsterdam, Thomas "Bomber" Clarke, was further remanded in custody yesterday by Dublin Circuit Criminal Court after admitting robbery. Clarke (27), of Keepers Road, Dublin, was extradited from Amsterdam after police captured him there on June 4th last.
He had been unlawfully at large since April 25th last, when an armed gang rammed a prison van taking him from Portlaoise Prison to court in Dublin. He pleaded guilty yesterday to two robberies in Dublin in 1993. Judge Cyril Kelly remanded him in continuing custody for sentence on November 15th next.
