Washington - Hundreds of thousands of men who call themselves the Promise Keepers are expected to gather in Washington today for one of the largest religious rallies in its history.
Women are not admitted to the organisation's rallies as participants. Promise Keepers address themselves only to men, according to the group's leaders, because it is men who are primarily responsible for America's social and moral ills, for the breakup of families, abortion and juvenile delinquency.
The Christian conservative group has grown phenomenally since it was founded in 1990.
