A protest will be held today to mark the second anniversary of the arrest and subsequent death of a 20-year old man.
The Campaign for Justice for Terence Wheelock will meet at Sean McDermott Street Church in Dublin at 1pm and move to Store Street.
Fresh calls are expected to be made at the peaceful protest for an independent inquiry to look into the young man's death.
Mr Wheelock, from Summerhill, Dublin, was found unconscious in a cell at Store Street Garda station in June 2005 after he allegedly attempted to hang himself with a cord from his tracksuit bottoms.
He was rushed to the Mater hospital but never regained consciousness and died some months later. His family has maintained the circumstances of his death were different and that he was mistreated while in a cell.
