The PSNI have appealed for witnesses after a man was left with head and facial injuries after being attacked.
The man was assaulted in the Marine Parade area of Warrenpoint at about 1am.
Police are questioning a 42-year-old man.
They have urged people who were in the area at the time of the attack and may have witnessed anything to come forward with information.
