The PSNI is investigating an incident in Co Armagh last night in which a  woman and her young son were tied up in their home by a number of armed raiders.

It is understood that three masked men, two of whom were armed with handguns, entered a house on Sheetrim Road, Middletown, at around 8pm last night.

They tied up the woman and her seven-year-old son with masking tape and attempted to restrain the woman's one-year old baby girl.

The men demanded money and left with what was described by police as a small amount of money.

Police in Armagh are investigating.
