RACING: This afternoon's race meeting at Punchestown has been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday as the Kildare venue is frozen.
"Today's meeting at Punchestown has gone as there is still some frost in the ground," said Cliff Noone from the Irish Turf Club.
"It is a lot milder than it has been and things are improving but it has just come too late for today's meeting.
"The main thing is that they have rescheduled for Monday where the full card will stand."
Noone remains confident tomorrow's high-profile Leopardstown meeting will go ahead as planned.
"Everything is fine at Leopardstown and they don't have any worries whatsoever," he said.
"It's due to get milder and maybe a bit wet later on and it could be wild and windy tomorrow.
"It's a completely different scenario from Punchestown as temperatures are rising."
Today's Wetherby meeting in Britain was also abandoned due to a frozen track.
