They are in Ireland for a few days for the Flight Centre Ball that is taking place in Dublin this weekend. They said the weather wouldn't prevent them from coming back to Ireland. "You don't come here for the weather", Elissa said. "You come for the atmosphere and the culture."
Sara agrees: "Yes, and anyway there's a drought in Queensland at the moment so it's nice to be able to come here and have really long showers!"
Iri Lacuskova from Slovakia: She is visiting Peter Hubina, who lives in Dublin. Iri says she doesn't know what to think of the weather yet because she hasn't got used to it. "It was 37 degrees when I left Slovakia," she said. "You can't relax outside and have a barbecue when it's like this," Peter said, "but the weather is not the most important thing about a country."
Mary Kilcoyne from southern Englandsays the weather is "a bit discouraging". "You don't come here for the climate, though."
Julia Ordenas from Chileis not impressed: "It is so dark and cold ... I looked on the internet before I came so I knew it would be bad. It's a pity because weather kind of limits what you can do," she said.
