The jury in a male rape trial has been discharged on the second day of the hearing at the Central Criminal Court.
Mr Justice Carney told the jury a legal matter had arisen which necessitated stopping the trial. The 33 year old accused, a bar worker from Co Kildare, had denied the rape and sexual assault of a 20 year old man in a Kildare laneway on February 5th, 1994.
