zamboanga - The Philippine military said yesterday it was checking reports that two leaders of a Muslim guerrilla group holding US and Filipino hostages had slipped through a military cordon, one of them dressed as a woman.

"This [report] is being verified and properly attended to," southern military command spokesman, Lieut-Col Danilo Servando, said.
