COLOMBO - About 150 Tamil Tiger rebels attacked an army detachment in eastern Sri Lanka, north of Batticaloa, yesterday and suffered heavy casualties as soldiers returned fire, according to a military statement. Ten dead rebels were left at the scene of the clash, the military said. "Terrorists in their radio transmissions disclosed that another 10 bodies are with them.
