The National Asset Management Agency (Nama) has had a receiver appointed to a company owned by developer Ray Grehan, it was confirmed today.
The agency also applied to have a receiver appointed to Mr Grehan's UK assets.
Mr Grehan was one of the country's largest developers during the boom years.
Among his purchases were the former UCD veterinary college in Ballsbridge which he purchased for €171.5 million in November 2005 and the upmarket Grange development in Stillorgan.
