Inter Milan, Valencia and Ajax Amsterdam all reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League tonight to join the other five clubs already through to Friday's draw.

Inter finished with 11, Newcastle seven and Leverkusen none to become the first team to lose all six second phase matches in Champions League history and only the third ever.
Valencia and Ajax emerged from the four-horse race that was Group B to join the qualifiers.
Arsenal and AS Roma were left outside looking in after Valencia beat Arsenal 2-1 at home and Roma drew 1-1 at home with Ajax. Valencia win the group with nine points, followed by Ajax (8), Arsenal (7) and Roma (5).
All four teams started the evening with a chance of reaching the last eight and a late goal could have changed the final standings.

John Carew scored both Valencia goals after 34 and 57 minutes with Thierry Henry netting for Arsenal on 49 minutes.
