An Englishman accused of a double murder in Co Roscommon consented to a month's remand in custody when he appeared in Dublin District Court yesterday. Mr Mark Nash (23), originally from Leeds but with an address at Clonliffe Road, Dublin, is accused of murdering Carl and Catherine Doyle at Ballintubber on August 16th.

He is also accused of causing grievous bodily harm to Ms Sarah Jane Doyle on the same date. The defendant was remanded to Dublin from Galway District Court and did not speak during his brief appearance yesterday morning. He was remanded in custody to September 29th.
