Fianna Fáil TD Mr Michael Collins was today identified as a bogus non-resident account holder on a list to be published by the Revenue Commissioners.
The Limerick West politician settled with the Revenue Commissioners for a total of €130,602.
The Revenue's quarterly list of tax defaulters shows Mr Collins owed €32,000 in tax due as a result of an undeclaration of income tax and VAT as well as tax due on income in a bogus non-resident account owned by the TD.
The total figure includes €98,601 incurred in interest and penalities.
In a brief statement this afternoon Mr Collins said he deeply regretted having the liability but that it predated his membership of the Oireachtas.
The Revenue's list is the largest of its kind since the naming of Ansbacher account holders.
The list showed there were 373 bogus non-resident settlements totalling €30.08 million for the period between April and June.
A total of 78 settlements exceeded €100,000, of which seven were over €500,000
A further 3,978 audits were completed during the period, with a total yield of €7.99 million where the audit settlement did not exceed €12,700.
The total yield from Revenue audit in the period was therefore€147.8 million.
