Review: Shit Robot, Little Big Tent

Atmosphere: A jammers Little Big Tent ready to rave to Mark Lambkin's DFA smart sounds on Friday night

Atmosphere: A jammers Little Big Tent ready to rave to Mark Lambkin's DFA smart sounds on Friday night. The DJ Shadow crowd are migrating across the field and thisispopbaby's refugees have made this gig their midnight base.

High: Shit Robot's deadly visuals that have been making his show a hit all summer. Simple, succinct and effective.

Low: Jacques Lu Cont and Boys Noize lashed it out earlier on, so Lambkin's more subtle electronic musings, although viscously danceable, mightn't havebeen as heavy as some mad up for it punters desired.

Quote of the set:
"Hey! Hi! No way, how's it going? Helllooooo!" Everyone seemed to be bumping into all of their friends throughout the swaying crowd in the tent.

Verdict:
As usual, Shit Robot continued to demonstrate why From the Cradle to the Rave remains such a great grower of an album. By the time his excellent rework of Take 'Em Up hit the speakers and the screens the
packed crowd was loving it. Either a great end to your night, or the perfect start to some later night antics.
