The RUC yesterday uncovered five pipe-bombs in Cloughmills, Co Antrim, near where the homes of Catholic families have been attacked by loyalists. No arrests were made after the devices were discovered in a laneway.
Meanwhile, the RUC does not believe that a pipe-bomb attack on a taxi rank in north Belfast was sectarian.
