Ryanair has named Milan Bergamo airport as itsthird continental European hub.

The budget airline will begin operating from the airport on February 6th next year and will offer over 30 flights each day on six routes to London, Frankfurt, Brussels, Hamburg, Paris and Barcelona.

Ryanair said it will create over 100 jobs in Milan Bergamo with over 2 million passengers being carried through the airport in the first 12 months.

Last year, Ryanair flew over 3.5 million passengers in and out of Italy and expects to carry over five million passengers as a result of the new base serving Milan.

The company already operates bases in Frankfurt and Brussels.
