Mexico City - In a new memoir, Mexico's former president, Mr Carlos Salinas, branded the current President, Mr Ernesto Zedillo, a traitor, and blamed him for the historic election defeat earlier this year of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI).
As he wrapped up a three-day tour in the Mexican capital to promote his book Mexico: A Difficult Step Toward Modernity, Mr Salinas hurled a salvo in the direction of his protege, saying Mr Zedillo sought to make himself look good by blaming him for all of the countries economic woes.
