Rubens Barrichello has admitted his surprise at Ferrari team-mate Michael Schumacher's decision to carry on after winning his record sixth drivers' crown.
Schumacher claimed his record title by two points from McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen at the season-ending Japanese Grand Prix in Japan last October. The race was won by Barrichello.
"If it was me I know what I would do," said the Brazilian. "But I don't know what goes through his mind. If he still has the will to race, the will to win, then he should continue racing."
The German, who will be 35 next month, insists he will carry on for several more years although there is a belief he will quit before his Ferrari contract runs out at the end of 2006.
Barrichello's deal runs until the end of next season but he has called on his Ferrari bosses to sort out his contract before the campaign starts in March.
