Barry Ferguson will miss Scotland's upcoming Euro 2004 qualifier with Germany.

The Rangers midfielder is to undergo surgery on a pelvic problem on June 2nd, five days before Germany travel to Hampden Park.

Rangers manager Alex McLeish said: "I'm sorry for Scotland but Rangers is his bread and butter and we need him to be fit and ready for the Champions League qualifiers".
