A Scottish man who threatened to commit suicide after he was remanded in custody was released on bail yesterday at Dublin District Court. Mr Archibald Wardlaw (37), of North Circular Road, Dublin, was charged under the Public Order Act with breach of the peace and entering a portal at Cabra Park on August 25th.

Garda Niall Hodgins said it was alleged the defendant had been rummaging in bins for clothes and the owner of the house then saw his head appear through the venetian blinds as he attempted to enter the house.

Judge Murrough Connellan fixed bail in the defendant's own bond of £100 to appear on September 11th.
