Gardaí are today searching for a gang thought to have burgled 15 houses in the space of just a few hours.
Thousands of euros worth of property - including jewellery, computers and mobile telephones - were taken in the raids in Laytown, Co Meath.
A four-wheel drive vehicle was also taken in the thefts early yesterday.
Gardaí said they were looking for a gang of four in connection with the robberies, and appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
