The search for a fisherman missing off the west Cork coast resumed at first light this morning.
The man, a Egyptian in his 30s, fell overboard the Irish fishing boat, the Janireh, 11 miles southwest of the Fastnet Lighthouse at around 2am yesterday.
A spokesman for Valentia Coast Guard said the search is being conducted by a team of about five local trawlers.
The Navy's LE Emer has left the area and will not be assisting in the search today.
