A CO DUBLIN security worker has admitted to being involved in organised crime by providing information to a gang which intended to steal €2 million from a cash transit van in Co Kildare last year.

Darryl Caffrey (33), Cherry Park, Rivervalley, Swords, pleaded guilty yesterday to enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation to commit or facilitate a theft of cash from a vehicle at Tesco, Shackleton Road, Celbridge, on November 2nd, 2007, by providing information on the business of Chubb Ireland Ltd.
