Six people were arrested today as part of an ongoing Garda investigation into serious crime in Limerick city.
Four men and two women were arrested early this morning when armed detectives raided a number of homes across the city. A fifth man was arrested in a prison in Dublin.
Sixteen people have been arrested in the past two weeks in relation to the same investigation, which is linked to the ongoing feuding in the city.
Those arrested, who are aged between 20 and 40, are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Mayorstone, Henry Street, Roxboro and Bruff Garda stations.
