KIEL - The brains of domesticated animals are up to a third smaller than those of their wild counterparts, the annual conference of the German Society for Mammals heard yesterday.

"But that does not mean they are more stupid, only that they have adapted to a different environment," Prof Dieter Kruska of the Kiel Institute for Domesticated Animals said.
