More than 3,390 working days were lost in the first three months of this year due to industrial disputes, according to new figures released by the Central Statistics Office today.
These losses were the result of industrial action taken by 212 employees of Ferovial Agroman, which was working on two sites in Dublin.
The number of days lost in the first quarter this year compares with 22,588 for the last three months of 2005, when 1,264 staff were involved in strike action.
