A series of student union elections at Queen's University in Belfast have been invalidated following revelations of vote-rigging.

An inquiry has been launched by the university after an electoral court found evidence of multiple voting and ruled that the election of nine student union officers was invalid.

The court is a university tribunal chaired by a lay senator with three members of university staff and the president of the Students' Union.
