Shelbourne's Stuart Byrne and Longford Town's Alan Murphy have both effectively served their eircom League suspensions, despite last Saturday's game between the two clubs being abandoned due to a water-logged pitch.
The league sought clarification from the game's European governing body UEFA in relation to the status of the suspensions before adjudicating on the matter at a Board of Control meeting this evening.
The Board of Control then ruled that both players' had served their suspensions.
