Swedish police have arrestedfive people suspected of preparing an attack during the EU summit in Gothenburg later this week.
According to the Swedish news agency TT, the five, all in theirlate twenties, were arrested in an apartment early thismorningand were to be questioned later in the day.
On Friday, leaders from the 15 European Union member states areto open a two-day summit in Gothenburg wrapping up Sweden'ssix-month EU presidency.
The US President Mr George W Bush will also visit the town on Thursdayfor a one-day US-EU summit.
