A small funeral service is being held today for Elizabeth Taylor at a California cemetery where many Hollywood celebrities are buried.
Police spokesman Tom Lorenz said Forest Lawn Cemetery officials called to request assistance for the service.
Mr Lorenz said about four dozen members of the actress’s family are expected to attend the funeral, and there will be no procession for the screen legend.
Taylor died yesterday of heart failure at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles, where she had been receiving treatment for about six weeks.
The cemetery is the final resting place for her good friend, pop superstar Michael Jackson and other stars such as Clark Gable, Jean Harlow, WC Fields, Red Skelton, Gracie Allen, Walt Disney and Nat King Cole.
