The strike ballot of SIPTU members at Trinity College, Dublin, over the loss of parking spaces has been extended until June 19th. Union representative Mr Jim Larragy said this was because many of the staff concerned were on holiday.

The college is proposing to reduce the number of parking places by more than a half because of new buildings on campus. The union is seeking alternative centre-city parking space for the 1,800 permit-holders.
