US technology company Honeywell announced today it plans to move its software operation from Waterford to India with the loss of 63 jobs.

Honeywell, which makes parts for the airline industry, announced it was relocating to India due to high costs in the Republic.

The company is one of the world's biggest manufacturers of aircraft engines and components. It employs 115,000 people in 95 countries.
