Teenager held in custody for rioting

A 17-year-old youth was remanded in custody yesterday accused of rioting after an Orange Order parade through north Belfast.

A 17-year-old youth was remanded in custody yesterday accused of rioting after an Orange Order parade through north Belfast.

The suspect, who cannot be named because of his age, faces charges connected to violence in Ardoyne on July 13th. Shots were fired and police came under attack.

The teenager was charged with riotous assembly and throwing a petrol bomb.
