The High Court has heard that no significant evidence has been produced by the State in a major test case setting out any advice or reassurance that a garda ought to be given if bitten, stabbed with a needle or spat on by a potential disease carrier.

Claims for compensation by three gardaí are being heard in a test case to determine the risk of disease transmission in such attacks. The case continues.
