A letter to new Cabinet Minister Noel Dempsey has come Quidnunc's way. From the IAVI of Merrion Square in Dublin and dated July 2nd, it starts: "Dear Minister, May I, on behalf of the Irish Auctioneers and Valuers Institute, extend our warmest congratulations to you on being appointed Minister for Finance." and goes on to look forward to future co-operation and to discussing the "savage increases in stamp duty" and to state that it has 1,100 individually qualified members.
Problem is, Noel Dempsey is the new Minister for the Environment.
