British police today charged a third suspect in connection with the murders of two French students in London.

Police said they had charged a man (28) for attempting to pervert the course of justice after he presented himself at a south London police station. He has been bailed to return on August 25th.

Last week police charged Nigel Farmer (33) and Daniel Sonnex (23) with the murders of 23-year-old students Laurent Bonomo and Gabriel Ferez.

Mr Farmer was additionally charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice and arson, while Mr Sonnex was also charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Police had described the June 29th murders as among the most gruesome crimes they have ever encountered. The pair were tied up, Mr Bonomo was stabbed almost 200 times, Mr Ferez had nearly 50 knife wounds, and the apartment was set ablaze.
