Police in the US are questioning a third man in connection with the Washington-area sniper attacks.
The man partly owned the blue Chevrolet Caprice car believed to have been used in the killings.
The 26-year-old isn't a suspect but has agreed to be moved to custody in Maryland. Officials say he is cooperating fully.
The man, who was arrested Saturday, is not suspected of carrying out any of the attacks.
His lawyer, Mr Kenneth R Sasse says his client has been interviewed extensively but doubts he has much information.
Authorities sought the man, described as a friend of sniper suspect Mr John Allen Muhammad, as a material witness in the attacks that left 10 people dead and three critically wounded over three weeks in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC.
The man, whose last known address was in Camden, New Jersey, is understood to have helped Mr Muhammad buy the 1990 Chevy in which Mr Muhammad and Mr Malvo were arrested on Thursday.
The car was bought for $250 from in Trenton, New Jersey, on September 10th, and Mr Muhammad and the man registered it the next day.
He and Mr Muhammad had listed the same New Jersey address.
Authorities say a hole had been cut in the boot from which someone could have fired on unsuspecting victims.
